I first met Doug in 2007 after being released from jail. I had up until then been in and out of jail for the best part of 40 years. Meeting Doug was a revelation as he knew, from experience, what I was going through. I could write about Doug all day but, in a nutshell, he kept me out of jail, sorted me out with a job and helped me with accommodation. he linked me with other agencies in order to get me back on my feet. I have not been in trouble with the law since that time and Doug has always been there when needed. He started off being my worker - I am now proud to call him my friend.
